New York-based duo, The Ropes [1], have released a new video for their single, “Kitty Get Down.” For the first few seconds of the video, it seems to be a literal interpretation of getting a cat down from a tree. Street Hawk

Street Hawk

Does anyone remember this TV show? Street Hawk made its debut on January 4, 1985 on ABC at 9 PM EST and ran until May 16, 1985. The show was about a police officer and former amateur dirt-bike racer named Jesse Mach who was secretly chosen to test a top-secret project -- an all-terrain attack motorcycle capable of speeds in excess of 300 miles per hour. Backing the motorcycle was a computerized command system that allowed its operator to provide the motorcycle's rider with real-time information from various sources and to autopilot the motorcycle during its high-speed runs after clearing traffic along the intended route. Norman Tuttle, an engineer employed with the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration of the Department of Justice, was the designer of the motorcycle and reluctantly picked Jesse to test it. Mach began to lead a double life, a police public relations officer by day, and crime-fighter by night.

I.O.U.S.A.

I.O.U.S.A.

I.O.U.S.A. boldly examines the rapidly growing national debt and its consequences for the United States and its citizens. As the Baby Boomer generation prepares to retire, will there even be any Social Security benefits left to collect? Burdened with an ever-expanding government and military, increased international competition, overextended entitlement programs, and debts to foreign countries that are becoming impossible to honor, America must mend its spendthrift ways or face an economic disaster of epic proportions. Throughout history, the American government has found it nearly impossible to spend only what has been raised through taxes. Wielding candid interviews with both average American taxpayers and government officials, Sundance veteran Patrick Creadon (Wordplay) helps demystify the nation's financial practices and policies. The film follows U.S. Comptroller General David Walker as he crisscrosses the country explaining America's unsustainable fiscal policies to its citizens. With surgical precision, Creadon interweaves archival footage and economic data to paint a vivid and alarming profile of America's current economic situation. [I.O.U.S.A. Planet 51

Planet 51

Sony is bringing us another attempt at an PIXAR like animated film. With little success with OPEN SEASON, however this time it looks kinda entertaining. For how long is unknown. But basically this film is based on the concept "FISH OUT OF WATER".  Here is the general plot, "The inhabitants of Planet 51 live in fear of alien invasion. Their paranoia is realized when an astronaut arrives from Earth. Befriended by a young resident, he has to avoid capture in order to recover his spaceship and try to return home." I will more than likely watch this film, every after watching OPEN SEASON. I did enjoy Surfs UP with the penguins, I though the visuals and story were amazing.  Planet 51 Website [1] INTERNET MOVIE DATABASE -- PLANET 51 [2] [1] http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/planet51/ [2] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0762125/

I was lucky enough to see the actual video before it was introduced to the independent film festival circuit and was amazed at the amount of talent used in the film. Taken Trailer

Taken Trailer

I don't know what to say about this movie, but it looks AWESOME. Liam Neeson's dialogue in the trailer is convincing enough to watch this film. Since I haven't see this movie yet, I just copied the bio over from their site. "TAKEN stars Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills, an ex-government operative who has less than four days to find his kidnapped daughter, who has been taken on her first day of vacation in Paris." In other words....Awesome.  "Taken" Trailers  [1] INTERNET MOVIE DATABASE -- "TAKEN" [2] [1] http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/taken/ [2] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501/
